BALPA SECURES SETTLEMENT IN RYANAIR UNFAIR DISMISSAL CASE

Commenting on the result of Captain James Anderson’s unfair dismissal claim against Ryanair Jim McAuslan, BALPA General Secretary, said; “The British Airline Pilots Association is delighted with the offer of settlement in this claim for unfair dismissal against Ryanair. We regard this as a significant victory. As a professional association representing all commercial airline pilots BALPA is proud to support each and every member, whichever airline they fly for. The safety of the travelling public depends on the likes of Captain Anderson and that is a responsibility he is proud to shoulder . Captain Anderson, like all his professional colleagues, will not see that compromised.

Captain Anderson is now in a position to provide support for his family and the settlement of £40,000 will contribute towards speech therapy sessions for his daughter who suffers from Downs Syndrome. This, in part, will make good the 2 year period in which Captain Anderson was not able to provide full support for his family as he would have wished.”

Ryanair Pays $65,500 to Pilot It Sacked Over Union Leaflets

Ryanair Holdings Plc (RYA) agreed to pay 40,000 pounds ($65,500) to a pilot sacked for distributing trade-union literature to cabin crew during a flight, the British Airline Pilots’ Association said today.

Captain James Anderson filed an unfair dismissal claim after he was fired by Ryanair, Europe’s biggest discount airline, for “gross misconduct” following the incident. The case was settled prior to an employment tribunal hearing in London.

“We regard this as a significant victory, as a wonderful result,” John Stembridge-King, Balpa’s head of organization, said outside the hearing.

Ryanair had said that Anderson, 45, endangered passenger safety by handing the leaflets to flight attendants while the plane was en route from London’s Stansted airport to Majorca. Balpa said it planned to tell the tribunal the plane was on autopilot, and that it was safe for the pilot to talk with crew.

Dublin-based Ryanair said it’s “very pleased” with the settlement, which was equivalent to less than one day of legal fees when it had expected the hearing to last three days.

“We wish our former pilot every success for the future,” Ryanair spokesman Stephen McNamara in an e-mailed statement.

We believe at ryanairdontcare campaign that there is evidence of systematic abuse of cabin crew and pilots in Ryanair.The basic formula is based on "employment scamming" in which false expectations are built up and the new trainees (cabin crew) are obliged to pay in advance for their training, only to discover after that their earnings are nothing like what they "expected".  This scheme has been running for years and is very sophisticated.
Part of this scheme is the termination of probationary cabin crew, in large numbers, in the month prior to their obtaining employment rights.
Once students are terminated by so called agents they are left in so much dept,Some are on medication as a result of this explotation and even contemplated suicide.

I believe that journalists in Ireland who have tried to write about this story have been gagged (well the papers are gagged).David Bonderman tpg capital and Michael O'leary must stop this termination for profit of probationary cabin crew and have some Dignity and Respect for ALL crew at Ryanair.


I wish to apologize to spectators and mostly to the JOCKEYS today at Cheltenham.
It was wrong what i did today but i would hope you can see the bigger picture.
Many Irish young students have been scammed as probationary cabin crew at the hands of ryanair and ryanairdontcare campaign would hope,being an Irish registered airline,the Irish Government will look into these issues.
Probationary ryanair cabin crew,Contracted ryanair cabin crew and Pilots need RESPECT and be treated with DIGNITY,Mr Bonderman TPG capital and Mr O'Leary.

Shame on you Bonderman ''hypocrite'' tpg and O'Leary ''the mouth'' not only treating prcc bad also Captain Pilots.
These captains study and work so hard to become pilots and day after day fly passengers all over Europe in a safe way.
What do Bonderman ''hypocrite'' and O'Leary ''the mouth'' do,
CHARGE for POSITIONING FLIGHTS......Yet one more way to EXPLOIT crew.
Very soon the Hypocrite and the Mouth will see they have a very large fight on their hands......

I do believe this action by Ryanair scammers,is a way of getting more pilots from the (Ryanair Pool) ,as a result in charging a fee for training,which we all know goes on at ryanair scammers....Also getting rid of Contracted Ryanair pilots and putting in place Brookfield Contracted pilots....

RYANAIR PILOTS LEAVING THANKS TO RAY CONWAY...

 Ryanair are pushing forward with charging there pilots for positioning flights.As in,a lot of the flight crew are needed in other bases for flights,and sometimes spend a week at a time in other bases that are temporarily short Captains or F/O's.But obviously they have to travel to the base.At the moment pilots can travel free to the base that they need to operate out of,but Ray Conway,Ryanairs Chief pilot wants pilots to pay for their ticket to the base so they can work out of it.I presume ryanair are not making enough money out of prcc so they are targeting pilots even more now!
 Add further insult to injury.Pilots are deserting Ryanair in droves after a sudden roster change was forced on pilots with no warning,discussion or consideration.Basically pilots worked a set roster of 5days on,4days off.Which ment a lot of pilots could work abroad for 5 days,and come home for 4,but Ryanair just woke up a few days ago and said "Nope,3 days now,tough like it or lump it",well they dont like it and now their lumping it.Over 8 Captains have walked out in protest as it has disrupted there lives to an intolerable level.
At the moment many large airlines are recruiting again,and now Ryanair Captains and F/O's are deserting them!They have really rocked the boat to much now,and pilots are not happy.

European Base Managers and Inflight managers are panicking because Ryanairs recruitment of pilots/cabin crew is at a standstill.They dont have enough pilots anymore,and there main supply of pilots,Oxford Aviation has been effected by the recent recession,and recruitment is stalled.
Ryanair pride themselves on there 'stable' rosters and now its in disarray as they dont have enough pilots....

If Bonderman''hypocrite'' tpg capital and O'Leary the mouth treat ryanair pilots this way,god help us all.....
